VFX Artist

Part Time | Remote in Game Development

Company Overview

World to Build is the online voxel-based sandbox game where players can make their own everything! We are a startup company located in Wake County, North Carolina and we're actively looking for new additions that are as excited as we are about creating a big sandbox game.
Our teammates are located across the globe and we operate remotely. Our goal is simple: We want to develop a game where players can collaborate, learn, make friends, and break the ceiling of digital creation, all while staying 100% player-focused.

Role Description

This position involves creation of particle effects, 2D art, and potentially shader code that integrates with the game client to bring style and character to World to Build's gameplay! If you're creative and have a history with games like Minecraft, Trove, or similar voxel games, this position might be a good fit.
We are a team-funded studio, which means we rely on our own resources and creativity to make games. We are proud of our independence and autonomy, and we are looking for talented and passionate people who share our vision. If you are interested in joining us, we encourage you to apply so that we can discuss the application process and compensation.
